Uncle Gilbert’s Room, on the second floor at Taylor House Inn, is nestled in the back of the house on the east side and is a fine choice for a North Carolina family vacation in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

This guest room has a majestic, king-size bed and is shaded by an old hemlock. It is adjacent to Gordon & Henry's Room and can accommodate families.

"A lovely weekend escape!"

This is a lovely, quaint inn nestled in a mountain setting with overhanging trees. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. Fresh flowers are in every room as well as tucked into the napkin at each breakfast setting. Warm, gracious hosts respond quickly to questions and needs, seeking to accommodate. The breakfast was delicious and quickly served. The landscaping provided a fall setting with pumpkins, cornstalks, and fall potted plants to create a warm welcome from the first glance. The warmth continued inside as a selection of teas, coffee, and cookies greeted the guest. This old home has been carefully preserved and welcomes guests with the Southern open door.

"An Anytime Getaway"

Wonderful experience at The Taylor House. Bernard and Tessa are running a first rate B&B. The Food was great, rooms were clean and comfy, and the scenery was breathtaking. All in all a perfect weekend in the Mountains! Our party consisting of over a dozen people including 4 children could not have asked for a better experience. Highly Recomended and Keep up the good work!

Tessa and Bernard were wonderful hosts who take a lot of pride in what they do. The food was delicious, the room was comfortable and roomy, the grounds were beautiful, and the innkeepers were outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely plan to return. We have never stayed anywhere like this. Lots of great extras and "little touches."
